3D cinema returns to Saffron Screen for New Year
During the first weekend in January (3-6th), 3D will return to Saffron Screen with three outstanding new films.
Disney’s fantastic new animation Frozen will open the weekend. This great big snowy adventure is an enchanting throwback to the classic Disney musicals of old, with memorable songs and gorgeous icy animation. With matinee screenings from Friday to Sunday, it will be a popular choice with families looking for something wonderful to do over the holidays.
Also showing from Friday to Monday is Alfonso Cuarón’s awe inspiring Gravity, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. This space adventure is an incredibly exciting, visually amazing film about two astronauts, lost in space, which positively demands to be seen in 3D.
And finally, on Monday night at 8pm, Saffron Screen have delved into the archives for a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s 3D film Dial M for Murder. Starring Grace Kelly and Ray Milland this recently restored thriller remains as entertaining as it ever was, demonstrating that the history of 3D goes back more than half a century.
For those wishing to keep the kids busy or avoid the dark and gloomy days of January, Saffron Screen’s 3D weekend is the perfect escape. With something for everyone, low ticket prices and free parking on site, it can’t fail to delight.
Tickets are available from the cinema box office, the Tourist Information Centre, or online at www.saffronscreen.com
