Gru meets his long-lost charming and more successful twin brother Dru who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist.

In the latest instalment of this entertaining animated series, reformed villain Gru discovers he has a long-lost twin brother, the richer and more successful Dru, who wants the pair to team up for one last heist. That means confronting Balthazar Bratt, a former child star whose music and fashion taste is still stuck in the 80s. Terrifically inventive visuals, great jokes and a return of all the much-loved characters – including the Minions!
(2017 USA 96 mins)

As always, the dialogue is constantly whip-smart, the sight gags brilliantly executed, and the arrival of Bratt opens the door for a killer soundtrack of 80s hits (Michael Jackson, Dire Straits, Madonna) to give grown-ups a few chuckles that may go over their offspring’s heads. All in all, it’s despicable glee from start to finish.  Kyle Balda, Radio Times
