A thoughtful and valuable documentary following two young Nepalese survivors of child-trafficking looking to build their own future upon returning home.
This fascinating and intimate documentary follows two young Nepalese women who survived child-trafficking to Indian circuses. Rescued and returning to a country they barely remember, they reclaim their skills as circus artists and begin to build a future against all the odds, forming Circus Kathmandu – Nepal’s first and only circus. Through their work, they seek to educate and challenge the deep-seated stigma against trafficked women as well as finding the courage to piece together their past.
