Feel Good Films Fill The Square!
Last Sunday, 28th May, 700 people gathered in Saffron Walden’s Market Square to watch films for free.
Hosted by Saffron Screen, Saffron Walden Town Council and the Town Team and generously sponsored by Audley End Miniature Railway, Cinema in the Square was a big success on Sunday with audiences ignoring the temperamental British weather for the shared experience of watching films for free in front the beautifully refurbished Town Hall.
Hana Mallett of Saffron Screen said:
“Huge thanks to everyone who came along to Cinema in the Square. It was fantastic to see so many locals and visitors gathered at the very heart of our community to watch a film and celebrate all that is great about Saffron Walden. We hope people continue to support local shops and businesses (including their very own indie cinema!), they are a huge part of what makes Saffron Walden such a wonderful place to live!”
