Juliet Stevenson Film + Q&A
The producer of Let Me Go, a thoughtful film about four generations of women dealing with long-buried family secrets dating back to Austria in the Second World War, will visit Saffron Screen for a Q&A next month.
The independent community cinema will host producer Lizzie Pickering as she answers questions from the audience following a screening of the film on Monday 5th February.
British actress, Juliet Stevenson, best known for her BAFTA-nominated performance in Anthony Minghella’s Truly Madly Deeply and currently on stage in Mary Stuart, plays Helga, who was abandoned at the age of four by her mother in Austria in 1941. Now living in London, she learns that her mother is close to death in a Viennese nursing home and decides to travel there. This visit affects her relationships with her daughter and granddaughter as all three women confront devastating truths about their family past. The entire cast gives impeccable performances in what is a thoughtful and moving film.
