In what is arguably Nolan’s (Inception, Interstellar, The Dark Knight) most daring work to date, Cillian Murphy (Inception, Batman Begins) plays J. Robert Oppenheimer – also known as the “father of the atomic bomb”. Oppenheimer was a remarkable physicist who studied, researched and developed one of the most frightening forces the world had ever seen – the atomic bomb.

Based on the 2005 biography American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, Nolan’s latest epic-length feature has an impressive cast including Murphy as the titular character, alongside Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey Jr., Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh.
