DIRECTOR Peter Farrelly
CAST Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali, Linda Cardellini, Dimeter D Marinov

An uplifting, funny and moving odd-couple road trip movie as an Italian-American thug chauffeurs an African-American pianist through the Deep South.

Set in 1962, this Oscar-nominated film follows Italian-American Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen), who is hired to chauffeur African-American pianist Dr. Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali) on a concert tour through the Deep South. Relying on the ‘Green Book’ to guide them to the few establishments which are safe for African-Americans, and yet still confronted with racism and danger, the pair learn to set aside their differences. An uplifting, funny and moving story.
(2018 USA 130 mins)

Despite five Oscar nominations, Green Book is one of those films generally sniffed at by critics but embraced by audiences. I have to say, I loved it. Driving Miss Daisy in reverse, it casts Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen against type with finger-lickin’ good results … There are a few cheesy moments as the two men learn life lessons from each other but the acting is a joy, the co-stars coaxing complexities from their characters. This compelling journey is based on real events and has raised controversies but it’s a remarkable, funny and heartwarming story of an extraordinary friendship.  Larushka Ivan-zadeh, Metro

Nominated for five Oscars including Best Picture, Actor and Supporting Actor. Winner of the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali.
