Saffron Screen Double Bill Pops Up in Newport

Saffron Screen’s Pop-up cinema takes the show on the road again this month with its first double bill, this time in the thriving village of Newport.

On Saturday 18 July, the community cinema will screen popular Aardman animation Shaun the Sheep (U) at 4pm and follow it with BAFTA-winning Formula 1 racing drama, Rush (15) at 8pm.

Community not-for-profit cinema, Saffron Screen, has been shortlisted for ‘Cinema of the Year’ at the prestigious Screen Awards.

Now it’s sixth year, The Screen Awards, celebrate the very best of marketing, distribution and exhibition in the film industry and Uttlesford’s only cinema is up against cinema greats, The BFI, in the category of ‘Cinema of the Year (with under 25 screens).

The excitement revved up at Saffron Screen when Kate Jennings and the team from Ashdon-based motorcycle leather company, Hideout Leather, joined Saturday’s screening of Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.

Special Screening in Aid of Breast Cancer Appeal
