As a registered charity (charity no. 1113259), we rely on the generosity of our Friends, partners and customers. As customers, when you use the government’s Gift Aid scheme, we are able to reclaim 25p for every £1 that you spend. The extra income is vital to ensure Saffron Screen can maintain its low ticket prices and remain accessible to all.

How does it work?

Unlike retail outlets, Gift Aid in cinemas relies on a voluntary 10% donation added to the price of your ticket. This donation allows us to reclaim tax on the whole amount paid if you are a UK taxpayer.

This means that if you decide to purchase an evening adult ticket as a Gift Aid Member, with the £0.90p donation included, Saffron Screen is able to claim back an additional £2.47.

How do I sign up?

In order to purchase tickets with a Gift Aid donation, you need to sign up to our Gift Aid Membership – as long as you are a UK taxpayer.

What if I’m already a Friend of Saffron Screen?

If you’re a Friend of Saffron Screen, you can already access Gift Aid tickets when logged into our website. You just need to complete a Friends Gift Aid declaration separately here. 

Terms & Conditions

By signing up to any of our memberships (excluding student membership), you are consenting to Saffron Screen claiming Gift Aid on all qualifying gifts of money made in the last four years and in the future from the date this declaration until I notify you otherwise.

You are also confirming that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

Gift Aid is reclaimed by Saffron Screen from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Please notify Saffron Screen if you want to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address or no longer pay sufficient Income Tax and/or Capital Gains.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
